WRITING 8: write a review of a film. I’d like to recommend a film which I watched recently, called The Hunger Games. The director of the film is Gary Ross. The film is a science fiction adventure and the setting is a stadium where the participants compete to survive. The main characters are two teenagers, Peeta and Katniss. Peeta is the son of a baker and Katniss is the daughter of a poor family. Her father died when she was a kid. The things I liked most about the film were the scenes where the characters had to fight between them and how they kill other people just for survival. Some of the dresses they wore on some of the scenes are really impressive because they include fire! All in all, I really liked and enjoyed the film, but if I was the director, I’d change the ending. It shows us what people can do to save themselves.

MIREIA: Hey, Mònica, what on earth is that?
MÒNICA: Oh, I got it this morning. what do you think? Do you like it?
MIREIA: MMM. I'm, not convinced.
MÒNICA: don't you think it's interesting?
MIREIA: Er, sort of, but I'm not suer about the face- it's a bit mad.
MÒNICA: Oh, come on! It isn't that bad. It's really colourful. It's good to have a new picture, anyway.
MIREIA: I suppos so.
MÒNICA: Don't worry, it'll be fine. It'll grow on you.
MIREIA: OK. We'll see.

MIREIA: Hey, Mònica, have you seen any good films recently?
MÒNICA: Yes, one or two. Have you?
MIREIA: No. What about this one? Is it any good?
MÒNICA: I'd only recommend that if you like really bad musicals.
MIREIA: No, I don't fancy that.
MÒNICA: Here  you are. You might perefer this.
MIREIA: What's that? Mission to Planet Q? No, I'm not a big fan of science fiction. I'd prefer a comedy.
MÒNICA: A comedy... er... OK, well, try this one. It's got a really funny plot. I think you'll like it.
MIREIA: OK. I'll trust you. thanks, Mònica.
MÒNICA: No problem.

More than 300000 people go to royal ascot week: the most popular horse races in Europe. The queen sits in the royal enclosere, where there is a strict dress code. Woman wear dresses and hats and you can see some very crazy creations.


THE QUEEN'S BIRTHAY PARADE
The queen's birthay is on 21 of april, but the public celebration in London is in June... when the wether is good! The birthay parade for the queen is called trooping the color. The military gives a royal salute and the queen inspects her troopes. Military bands play  music too... but not happy birthay.

Dear Sir or Madam,

I represent a group called ‘Teenagers Against Motorways’. I am writing to you because we are concerned about plans to close a park and build a motorway near our town.

In our opinion, motorways are dangerous because cars can pass over them very fast and this can cause some accidents on the future. If you finally decide to build a motorway, teenagers and children won’t have a space to meet themselves or just do some activities together. I think a motorway will not be as useful as the park is now. In the other hand, the motor of the cars will be very noisy, and this could be annoying for the people in our town.

We have therefore decided to take action, and we are going to organize a protest. For this reason, we are sending you a poster and we hope that you will support us and help to publicize this event.

Mònica: I'm doing a five-hour basketball marathon for charity next week, and I'm looking for sponsors.
Mireia: That's very good, Mònica. What's it for?
Mònica: It's for The Red Cross.
Mireia: And when are you playing?
Mònica: I'm playing next weekend. I'm hoping to raise about 150 paunds. Will you sponsor me?
Mireia: Yes, OK. It sounds like a good cause. I hopeyou finish it?
Mònica: I'm going to try! Some friends are going to do it too.
Mireia: Good luck, Mònica.

WRITING 4: INTERNET POST

Firstly, in my opinion, internet addiction makes people be out of studies and work. They spend more time in intern, I think it finally et than they should and it makes them lose the time doing things that they don't really to do. 

In addition, I think it makes them less interested on real life. They have a virtual life and they make social things online, not on their real life. Then, they can also feel alone and have more things or reasons to "live online". 

Finally, I think it finally makes them be really disconnected of reality and they don't enjoy talking with other people, they only enjoy when they are in a room, alone and with a computer.
